Human review of AI-generated code
AI coding assistants can produce a working app in an afternoon. What they don't tell you is where the shortcuts are: missing permission checks, secrets in the wrong place, a database design that won't scale, error handling that silently swallows failures. A human reviewer finds these before your users do.
Common problems people bring
- Code from ChatGPT, Copilot, Cursor or another AI agent that "mostly works"
- Security you can't judge: authentication, authorization, row-level security, API keys
- An architecture the AI chose without asking what your project needs
- Bugs that appear only with real data or many users
- Code you need to maintain but don't fully understand
Why AI code needs a human check
AI tools follow the patterns they've seen most often. They rarely ask whether that pattern suits your project, and they confidently produce code that compiles but is wrong in subtle ways. An experienced developer reads it with context: your users, your data, your risks.
Two ways to get it reviewed
For a specific piece of code or error, post it as a problem — free, and open to the whole community.
For a whole application, use Validate my software: choose a qualified reviewer (or post an open request), share read-only access, and receive documented findings with severity, evidence and fixes, a retest of your fixes, and a dated report.
Frequently asked questions
Isn't AI code review enough?
Automated review is useful for obvious issues. It can't judge whether the design fits your business, whether permissions match your real users, or whether a shortcut will hurt you in six months. That takes human judgment.
Do you run my code?
No. Reviewers read your code and test your running application where you give them access. Files you upload are never executed on our servers.
Does a report guarantee my software is secure?
No honest review can. A validation report states exactly what was checked, how, what was found and what remains — a record of a defined review, not a blanket guarantee.
